Beyond the Veil (Book 1 of Shadow Walkers)
Aubrie Sinclair, a seer from a long line of empaths -meets-Logan Latimar, an ex-Navy SEAL, and warlock. Now Girl meets Navy Seal is enough to be a super Hot read, but then add the paranormal to it and WOW!! Logan returns from war to work in his brother’s garage, but war doesn’t leave him, the dreams come, and they seem to bring not only the past but the present with them. Aubrie is not only a seer, but a budding author who lives alone with her two dogs, and a horse out in the country and gets visits from a friendly shadow-walker at times. But now she’s pulled into dreams of a war with the hometown hero Logan while being stalked by a demon portraying himself as a shadow-walker.
Will she help Logan with his dreams? And will he rescue her from them and her own trouble with her stalker too? And will Love, the purest form of good help both? I don’t give away spoilers, just advice. READ THIS FANTASTIC BOOK!!

I must say that I was hooked on the book from the first page. Award-winning author Catherine Wolffe is a wordsmith. Her pace is consistent, her characters are well developed, and although I was not familiar with the genre– well, the truth is that the author experiments with a mix of genres such as vampires, werewolves at a different era, etc.– I plan to read Catherine Wolffe’s other books.

As I started reading A Lady in the Mist, i was sucked right into the story. I felt like I was back in the civil war era. The descriptions of the scenes were GREAT !!Since I live only an hour away from the Gettysburg battlefields.I could actually see the story, feel and smell what the characters were doing at that moment. I’m hoping we get to know more of this Amazing story! THANK YOU, Ms. Wolfe for writing an awesome book !!
“The sensation of spiraling downward sluiced over her in a sickening wash of fear…” (Hopefully this won’t wind up a double-post; if so, I apologize) I usually avoid anything with romance in the description, but as a Southern writer, the premise for this upcoming ebook caught my attention, and I am very glad it did! For those who enjoy the genre, this will definitely be a treat; for those, like myself, who avoid the genre like the plague, this serves as a welcome surprise and a well-earned reminder not to judge a book by its cover. Ms. Wolffe has a fantastic way with words that draws you in and keeps you there. The only criticism I can give is that the piece could use a good once-over for grammar and typos in a couple of areas. Amazing work….
Good sampler – Although this was only a sample of the actual book, the first couple of chapters were entertaining and peaks your interest to know what happens next. I tried searching for the book but could not find it.

alarkin Posted December 6, 2012, Vivid and real – This story is a vivid and real account of the western world from long ago. I loved seeing the interaction Seth and his love, Celia went through to find one another again. A great read!
