ByJane- Happy Camper on January 8, 2017
Format: Kindle Edition
OMG-WOW. .shadow-walkers, demons, portals, Netherworld, and veils, with Seers and Warlocks.. and Marie Laveau.. what a story. Details are intricate. .the story is intriguing and exciting. I love the characters. And am surprised by the story line… It took me differently than I thought it would.
Aubrie Sinclair, a seer from a long line of empaths -meets-Logan Latimar, an ex-Navy SEAL, and warlock. Now Girl meets Navy Seal is enough to be a super Hot read, but then add the paranormal to it and WOW!! Logan returns from war to work in his brother’s garage, but war doesn’t leave him, the dreams come, and they seem to bring not only the past but the present with them. Aubrie is not only a seer, but a budding author who lives alone with her two dogs, and a horse out in the country and gets visits from a friendly shadow-walker at times. But now she’s pulled into dreams of a war with the hometown hero Logan while being stalked by a demon portraying himself as a shadow-walker.
Will she help Logan with his dreams? And will he rescue her from them and her own trouble with her stalker too? And will Love, the purest form of good help both? I don’t give away spoilers, just advice. READ THIS FANTASTIC BOOK!!

I only read the sample, but it seems like a very good book!!! It’s during war time and about werewolves what else could you want?

5.0 out of 5 stars, Entertaining, good read, recommended! January 6, 2013
By Mina M  This review is from: The Lady in the Mist (A Werewolf’s Tale) – Sample (Kindle Edition) Sonja Brooks is a young widow who lost her husband in the civil war. She goes through a life changing event when she is attacked by a pack of wolves. Then, she finds a dying rebel, Ty Loflin, mends his wounds and brings him back to life.

I must say that I was hooked on the book from the first page. Award-winning author Catherine Wolffe is a wordsmith. Her pace is consistent, her characters are well developed, and although I was not familiar with the genre– well, the truth is that the author experiments with a mix of genres such as vampires, werewolves at a different era, etc.– I plan to read Catherine Wolffe’s other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read !! October 10, 2012

By K. Herrold  Format: Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase

As I started reading A Lady in the Mist, i was sucked right into the story. I felt like I was back in the civil war era. The descriptions of the scenes were GREAT !!Since I live only an hour away from the Gettysburg battlefields.I could actually see the story, feel and smell what the characters were doing at that moment. I’m hoping we get to know more of this Amazing story! THANK YOU, Ms. Wolfe for writing an awesome book !!

5.0 out of 5 stars My first time! November 19, 2012

This was the first time I’d read anything from this author. Add that this was also a new genre to me, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the talent of the author as well as the characters and plot. I can’t wait for the next book to be released!

For The Lady in the Mist – Review by Michelle Iacona on July 24, 2012: star star star star star
“The sensation of spiraling downward sluiced over her in a sickening wash of fear…” (Hopefully this won’t wind up a double-post; if so, I apologize) I usually avoid anything with romance in the description, but as a Southern writer, the premise for this upcoming ebook caught my attention, and I am very glad it did! For those who enjoy the genre, this will definitely be a treat; for those, like myself, who avoid the genre like the plague, this serves as a welcome surprise and a well-earned reminder not to judge a book by its cover. Ms. Wolffe has a fantastic way with words that draws you in and keeps you there. The only criticism I can give is that the piece could use a good once-over for grammar and typos in a couple of areas. Amazing work….

alarkin  A great read, I found really enjoyable. I’m glad I picked up this sample!

Good sampler – Although this was only a sample of the actual book, the first couple of chapters were entertaining and peaks your interest to know what happens next. I tried searching for the book but could not find it.

I enjoyed this book very much.  The characters were vivid, and the budding relationship between two enemies played out perfectly!

alarkin Posted December 6, 2012,  Vivid and real – This story is a vivid and real account of the western world from long ago. I loved seeing the interaction Seth and his love, Celia went through to find one another again. A great read!

A new fan – I’m a new fan of western romances because of Catherine Wolffe’s first book here. Celia and Seth are meant for each other, and it’s delightful to see their relationship unfold. Looking forward to more!
